I had music classes in grade school. I was pretty awful. However, once I got a bass guitar from my brother, I decided to take lessons since I had to play a talent show we had booked. I had never played an instrument, nor performed live. But I paid attention to the guitar teacher and how he broke down songs. How he found the key. How he figured out the mode the song was played in. And all of sudden it made sense. But most important, I could write a “song.” The rest has been years of bands, shows, and albums.
